Jessica's Graduation Party: Part One

It was a long day, but I think the graduation party was a huge success!  We had a bit of a weather scare for the first half hour of the party and had to move the food into the garage instead of under the tent.  But the rain and wind cleared up and it turned out to be a beautiful day.

The Details:

The centerpieces included a fabric square, vintage books, a composition notebook, flowers from the local wholesale warehouse, a senior picture and Lemonheads.

I ordered the tissue poms from Pom Love.  They were great and I LOVED that she had a houndstooth option.  The tissue paper garland was inspired from Jordan's post on Project Wedding.

For the food, we had footlong subs...They had the most delicious bread!  The rest of the yummy food was prepared by Chef Dave Graci, who is a good friend of the family.  The adorable cake was done by Sugar Mountain Cakes.  Lisa was wonderful to work with.  She sent us a ton of photos and drawings of possible cake ideas and we worked together to come up with a custom cake.

This was a little area we had set up with senior photos of Jess, some of her accomplishments in frames and a gift area.

And here's the graduate:

I'll post Part Two tomorrow, which will include photos of the guests.

Wow this is so beautiful and so thoughtful to throw such a great party for your sister graduation! I am so jealous I want you to throw a party for me. My favorite things thus far were the houndstooth poms and the cake. It was so beautiful I loved the big yellow boy and the houndstooth ribbon. Great job!
