Graduation

Well, I finally did it! I'm graduating today (skipping it) and tomorrow (going to it). I designed a graduation announcement to send out, but haven't actually gotten around to sending it out. Here it is:I think one of my favorite BYU moments was right after I had transferred out here. I had left my old college and moved to a whole other world. I especially realized this when I overheard this conversation while walking to class:

(Three 22-24 year old guys walking together)
Guy 1: So how much did yours cost?
Guy 2: I think we got ours for $50.
Guy 3: Well I did some research and checked a couple of stores, and found that Walmart actually has the cheapest breast pump. They have one for $25!
(Oohhs and aaahs from his friends)

I'm glad to have had both experiences, with Millersville and with BYU. I had a blast at both places. To commemorate my Millersville experience, I leave you with one of my favorite YouTube clips, which you may or may not have seen. This inspired many jokes and even our intramural co-ed basketball team's name at the 'Ville. Here is a REAL news story from KRON in Oakland, CA.

House

Some of our family and friends haven't seen our house, so here are some pictures. It's still a work in progress, but we love where it is right now.

{Custom birthday photo from Aubrey Trinnaman. She does custom photos for you given the information you tell her. I told her Adam likes robots and I wanted it to say "I love your guts". I LOVE how it turned out.}

{Custom shoes for another birthday present for Adam last year by Ruel Brown. Again with the robots...man I'm noticing a theme.}

In Reality

So before you call animal control on us. Here is the REAL picture:

EDITED: Sawyer: The Flying Puppy

EDIT: Well, for any of you who check my blog at 8 am, the pictures were not quite right. I set them up to be big, but forgot to set the specifics. This should look better!!

The title of this post is inspired from that really old show Gidget: The Flying Nun. What a strange show!

Adam likes to toss our puppy, much like you would a little toddler. Sawyer doesn't hate it, but I can't really tell if he loves it either. But Adam sure loves it!

This picture is from Easter in Spring City.

We had to do a quick little photoshoot on Monday. I made some graduation announcements and needed a recent pic of me taken. I also shot a photo of Adam and Sawyer.

Easter

This Easter, Adam, Kristina and I went down to Spring City to hang out with Jamie, Ashley and the kids. The weather was great (it's not great now!) The day included blowing bubbles, kite-flying, yummy dinner and pirate tales! Here are some pics to document the day:

Later in the evening, after Ava had passed out on the floor, Ollie put on a little show for us. After discovering a toy we brought that resembled a periscope, Ollie picked up his pirate hat.

(Ollie is checking himself out in the mirror)
Adam: How do you look Ollie?
Ollie: Pirate-y!

I agree.

Ollie then proceeded to tell us a wonderful and creative story about a pirate and a group of bad soldiers. He even took a bow when he was done!

From Russia With Love...

My fave friend Allison came home from her mission in Russia. She is living at home for another month in PA, but came out here to visit!! It was great to catch up, quote movies/TV shows, play her new music, and dance in my living room. We sang our favorite duets (How Deep is Your Love?) and laughed at our many inside jokes. There were so many times while she has been gone that I would think of something that only she would get and I'm so glad that now we can share those moments again. Here are some pictures from her visit and the party we had. Somehow I managed to forget to take any pictures of us together though!

BTW, I've clearly been playing around with Photoshop. As soon as I actually read the manual to my camera, maybe I won't need Photoshop as much. Until then, seventies action here I come.
