Bienvenidos a Miami

Okay, this picture isn't from Miami. I've yet to see a Cherry Blossom tree out here. This is from Thanksgiving Point in Utah. The rest, however, are authentic Miami!

This next picture is of Josie J. We sure do love her out here. We love her so much sometimes we all like to gather around her video monitor and watch her sleep!

A Little Announcement and Giveaway

...I started my own Etsy! If you don't know, Etsy is a huge collection of handmade items that people list. You can find just about anything you need for a great price. I started making blog headers and Etsy banners for fun, after I got sick of all of the pre-made ones. I loved doing it so much that I decided to open up shop! All my blog headers will be completely custom, made just for you! Check out my shop, Jacq & Mal!

In honor of my new little shop, I'm having a little giveaway! Leave a comment by Saturday, May 23 at 11:59pm EST, and you will have a chance at winning a new blog header! The winner will be chosen at random. Make sure that you are logged in to your blog or you leave me an email address. And if you're the only one who comments, well, then you'll have a new blog header!

Here are some samples of blog headers I've made:

My sister-in-law Jamie directed me to this online childrens magazine, Papier Mache. I love everything about it...The design, the products and the photos. They also have started a sweet little blog you can check out here. Australia is really producing some beautiful things in the design and wedding world these days.

After seeing a post on Oh Happy Day about Katie Did's dresses for her daughters, I checked out her site. I would like this dress for me and for my future daughter. The back buttons, the sleeves...swoon.
The rest of her site is filled with more of the most darling outfits for her daughters.

My next dresses come from Shabby Apple. I'm posting these for two reasons: 1) I love the dresses 2) My very good friend Michelle happened to photograph these pictures for their site! Way to go Michelle!

Lastly, I found this dress on Etsy, in Marie'sVintageShop. She has tons of vintage apparel and accessories. The plus side about her site: the shoes come in various sizes NOT just size 6! I always have the hardest time with vintage shoes being too small!
I think this would be a cute pregnancy dress!
(not an announcement)

I might die of heat out here if I wore this 70's sweater dress, but I sure do love it anyway.

Like I Said...

...I'm a little behind. But here's to catching up! Adam and I celebrated our anniversary a few days early out here in Miami. We stayed in a lovely hotel in Coconut Grove. (highly recommend this town!) Happy Belated Anniversary to us! Here's to a million more!

We finally got our own copies of the magazine our feet were in (twice)! Parents: If you want it, get it quick. I think it's going off the stands soon. You can find it at Barnes and Noble or other book stores. Or see it on PDN's website.

Happy belated Mother's Day to my Mom, Martha, Grandma 'Cisco and Grandma Dee and all the other mothers (and future mothers)!
I think that brings me back up to today. Now I can show you things I've been working on and things I've been finding!
{All images, as usual, thanks to the awesome J. Canlas, unless noted}

I am over a week behind in posting. With graduation weekend, moving to Florida for the summer, celebrating our anniversary, not having internet and getting settled, you can see why I haven't posted just yet. I'll start with graduation pics. Now, my cap and gown pics did NOT turn out...someone was messing with my camera! But I made up for it with cute pics of everyone else! The weekend was such a blast and I was so glad everyone came out.

Note: I probably should have uploaded these to Photobucket so the quality would be a bit better.
Oh well.
