Pirate Room

Talk about a kid's my dream room!  Complete with a rope into the closet and a bridge, this pirate themed room wins for best kids room in my book.  I was excited to find this because it coordinates with another real kids room I'll be sharing next week!

Comedy Sportz

On Adam and I's second or third date, we went out to a nice Italian dinner and then went to Comedy Sportz.  We've gone several times in the past few years to Comedy Sportz...We love it!  If you've never been, you must go.  It's interactive improv comedy and it's a blast!  I've heard it compared to the show Whose Line Is It Anyway.  It's also one of the only family friendly comedy shows out there.

I just heard some sad news from Adam's sister, Melissa.  The LA Comedy Sportz is going to have to close its doors.  This is especially sad for our family because Melissa's husband Jay did Comedy Sportz in California for 12 years, some of those years at the LA venue.  If you want to support the LA Comedy Sportz, and try to save the LA venue, you can purchase tickets here.  If you're not in the LA area, good news!  You can still buy tickets and redeem them at your local Comedy Sportz location.  There a several locations nationwide...Philly, D.C., Chicago, several cities in Texas, Provo, etc.  See here for a full list of locations and here to purchase.  They are selling tickets for a great price...4 for $50 (about $12.50 a ticket).  Grab some friends and go laugh til your cheeks hurt!

Pillows and Flights

 Two unrelated things in this post, but thought I'd share both!

Here are a bunch of pillows from CB2.  They are currently all on sale for under $25.  That's pretty good when we're talking about throw pillows!

Moving along... Have you been following US Airways on Twitter?  Well, I don't really follow anyone on Twitter...I don't even have an account.  I saw a friend on Facebook posted about the awesome deal that they got through the Twitter page and I had to check it out.  Today and tomorrow they will continue to offer really cheap flights to certain destinations.  For example, $20 from Phoenix to Jamaica each way.  $19 from D.C. to New Orleans each way.  Isn't that crazy?!  I'm excited to check it out to see if there are any flights I can take advantage of.  See the madness here.

I have been wanting this jewelry holder and now it's on sale.  I really want it for Rilo's room, though she doesn't have any need for it since she doesn't have jewelry.

I realized when Adam and I went out to dinner a few weekends ago sans baby, that I only brought out my diaper bag.  I forgot a normal purse!  Aldo has some nice neutral ones on sale for under $30.

And in Rental Redesign news, I finished up the curtains for the living room and the headboard.  Just a few details left until the rooms are done!  I'll post some pictures the next few days of the rooms coming together.
